Okay, so here you can find basic dog, cat, and horse care.
I have the experience with raising both newborn puppies, and recently kittens. I may only be 14, but I am very good when it comes to animals.
1. Raising infant puppies.
Well, to start you need a box for them to stay in. It depends on there size though, 1 to 2 weeks old requires a box or container. You may cover a box with a towel, this is so the puppies(puppy) do not catch a cold and die, it sounds negative, I know, but it does happen.
Feeding
It depends on the size and age of the puppy but you should generally feed them at least every 2 hours, if they are newborns, then it should be every hour. If the puppies have health problems then you should feed them every hour or as much as the vet says to feed them. I would use the formula your vet tells you to use, I'm sorry but I cannot remember the brand we used, it was almost 3 years ago. ALSO! DO not overfeed the puppy, I learned that with my dog, Albert, he was a hard sucker and I though he was hungry, no he just felt the need to suckle. You need to stop after it's belly looks full.
Bodily Functions
To parent a puppy, you must teach it to go as well. Animals do not train themselves to go to the bathroom like we do you have to make them. In general, mother dogs like their puppies pee area until it goes, same with going poop, they lick their butt. For this you my use a peice of cotton dipped in warm water, you do not want to freeze the babies. You imply rump the cotton swap on the certain area until it goes. If the puppy's poop is grainy looking then it is not getting enough fluids and you need to feed it more often.
